KBTG Techtopia: A Blast From the Future, let’s embark on a journey to the future with AI and transformative technologies

Mitihoon  –  Mr. Ruangroj Poonpol, Group Chairman, KASIKORN Business-Technology Group (KBTG), notes on the rapid evolution and advancement of technology, particularly AI. He emphasizes that merely keeping up with trends may not be enough; we must also learn to harness technology responsibly and ethically. This is central to KBTG Techtopia’s theme, “A Blast From the Future,” which aims to showcase the boundless positive possibilities that near-future technologies can unlock. The highlight of KBTG Techtopia Year Two, to be held on July 18, 2024, at the 5th floor of Samyan Mitrtown, is the gathering of more than 50 leading speakers from Thailand and abroad. This event will also mark the first appearance in Thailand of Dr. Andrew Ng, Managing General Partner of AI Fund, founder of DeepLearning.AI, co-founder of Coursera, and named by Time magazine as one of the most influential people in the world in AI. He was recently selected to join the board of Amazon.com to revolutionize AI for the tech giant.

Discussions at the event will include relevant topics such as the latest trends and real-life case studies, exchanges on national AI strategy plans, and guidelines for responsible and ethical use of AI through the perspectives of people at many levels, including policymakers, research agencies, academics, and the private sector both in Thailand and abroad. The event will delve into the future of Web3 and digital assets following recent events like the Bitcoin halving. There will be an analysis of exponential technologies, including quantum computing – of keen interest to industry leaders such as Satya Nadella of Microsoft – alongside hot topics such as ESG and sustainability in the technology industry.

Additional activities include six playground workshops, organized by KBTG and top industry partners, which are designed to develop and enhance essential skills for the future, and a half-day exclusive session hosted by The Secret Sauce x KBTG for the participants to dive into trends and exponential technologies with Thai experts.
