AIS Announces First Sustainable Bond Interest Rates for Thai Telecom Industry 4-Year Bond at 2.74% and 7-Year Bond at 2.92%, Available for Public Subscription between November 8 and November 11-12, 2024

Mitihoon  –   Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (AIS), Thailand’s leading telecommunications service provider and digital infrastructure developer, offering mobile network and high-speed internet services with a customer base of over 50 million, has opened up the opportunity for institutional investors and cooperatives to subscribe to its sustainable bonds. The bonds have maturities ranging from 3 to 10 years, with interest rates between 2.54% and 3.22% per annum. The company is also offering the general public bonds with maturities of 4 years at 2.74% and 7 years at 2.92%. Subscription will be open from November 8 and November 11-12, 2024. The bonds have been rated “AAA(tha)” (credit watch negative) by Fitch Ratings (Thailand).

Montri Khongkruephan Chief Finance Officer of AIS, stated that the total offering size for these sustainable bonds is up to THB 25 billion across five different series, including 3-year bonds at 2.54%, 4-year bonds at 2.74%, 5-year bonds at 2.76%, 7-year bonds at 2.92%, and 10-year bonds at 3.22% per annum.

On October 29, 2024, the company conducted a book-building process for institutional investors and cooperatives, receiving overwhelming demand, which exceeded the target by 2 times. This demonstrates investors’ confidence in AIS’s leadership, financial stability, and commitment to sustainable business practices, including fostering growth in the digital economy and promoting a safe and creative use of technology.

To make these sustainable bonds accessible to retail investors, AIS is offering two series: 4-year and 7-year bonds, with interest payments every 6 months. Retail investors can subscribe for a minimum of THB 100,000 and multiples of THB 100,000. The subscription period runs from November 8 and November 11-12, 2024, with the bonds issued on November 13, 2024. Subscriptions will be available through seven leading financial institutions: Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn Bank, Krungthai Bank, Siam Commercial Bank, Krungsri Bank, UOB Bank, and Kiatnakin Phatra Securities.
