Mitihoon – Green Earth Power (Thailand) Co., Ltd. or GEP, signed a cooperation agreement to appoint China Triumph International Engineering Co., Ltd. as the contractor for developing the Minbu Phase 2 Power Plant with an installed capacity of 50 megawatts.
This collaboration marks a significant step in the construction of the Minbu Solar Power Plant Phase 2. China Triumph International Engineering Co., Ltd., as the contractor, has extensive expertise in planning, management, administration, procurement, construction, inspection, and quality control, ensuring the project meets international standards and can tackle the challenges associated with the construction of this major renewable energy infrastructure.
The Minbu Solar Power Plant project is designed and constructed efficiently with international standards in mind. Phase 1 has an installed capacity of 50 megawatts, and Phase 2 will also have an installed capacity of 50 megawatts
The Minbu power plant is a major and proud achievement for both the people of Myanmar and the Thai investors, having completed the first phase of construction and electricity generation. The construction of Phase 2 is expected to begin in early 2025, in an area with a high demand for electricity. The Minbu Solar Power Plant is seen as a flagship project that plays a key role in improving living standards, education, job creation, healthcare, and other aspects of life for the people of Myanmar.
