Mitihoon – Bangkok, February 4, 2025 – Education is the key foundation that empowers individuals with knowledge, readiness, and the ability to make a difference in the world. With this belief, the Suphachai – Busadee Chearavanont Foundation is committed to providing Thai youth with equal access to education. On this occasion, Mr. Suphachai Chearavanont, Chairman of the Foundation, and Mrs. Busadee Chearavanont, Vice Chairman of the Foundation, along with their family, have awarded the 2025 scholarships, marking the 5th consecutive year of this initiative. The scholarships are granted to students under the foundation’s care, from primary education to undergraduate level, across three categories: 1. Scholarships for academically outstanding students with financial needs 2. Scholarships for students with exceptional potential and specialized skills 3. Scholarships for students excelling in vocational education. This initiative reflects the foundation’s commitment to giving back to society, supporting youth in developing skills that meet the demands of the future, and enabling them to achieve self-sustainability. The scholarship award ceremony was attended by executives from True Corporation, parents, and educators at True Digital Park, who joined in celebrating this meaningful occasion.
Mr. Suphachai Chearavanont, Chairman of the Suphachai – Butsadee Chearavanont Foundation, delivered an inspiring speech to the scholarship recipients, emphasizing the foundation’s dedication to education and the core value of “gratitude”. He stated, “Our foundation is committed to promoting education for Thai youth by providing scholarships that reflect the importance of gratitude, an essential virtue of a good person. Gratitude is not limited to expressing appreciation toward parents and benefactors; it also encompasses kindness and compassion toward others, which are fundamental to living harmoniously in society. True love and compassion stem from this mindset, fostering a sense of responsibility to give back to the community through positive thinking and perseverance.” He further encouraged the students to overcome challenges by practicing the Noble Eightfold Path, which consists of right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration. He stressed the importance of maintaining mindfulness and avoiding greed, anger, delusion, and fear. “For our foundation, quality education is not just about producing intelligent individuals but about nurturing good-hearted people who can apply their knowledge, skills, and moral values to self-development and contribute to society in a meaningful way. Failure is an important lesson, and we encourage young people to persevere, learn, and grow from every experience. We strongly believe that our scholarship recipients will embrace gratitude and moral integrity in their lives, create positive impacts for themselves and society, and serve as role models for future generations.”
Mrs. Busadee Chearavanont, Vice Chairman of the Foundation, added, “Whatever career path or activity you choose to pursue, always remember that it should be something that promotes goodness, helps others, and reflects gratitude. Everyone can express these values in different ways, starting from caring for their own family and extending that kindness to society, the nation, and humanity as a whole.”
Mr. Korawad Chearavanont shared his insights on how personal passions can be developed and potentially turned into successful businesses. He gave an example of a software developer who started as a gamer and later transformed that passion into creating games for the global market. He emphasized that dedication to one’s strengths, deep learning, and continuous practice are key factors that pave the way to success.
Mrs. Kamolnan Chearavanont Sophonpanich offered advice on self-discovery and future career paths, encouraging students to reflect on their core values and life goals. She emphasized that whatever path they choose, it should align with their personal mission, whether it be for their family, their country, or a greater purpose. When their work aligns with their goals, they will find the passion and motivation to pursue it sustainably.
Mr. Zander Chearavanont shared his advice on building motivation for learning, emphasizing the importance of starting with curiosity and a love for what you study. He encouraged students to research, explore, and take action, as their efforts today could benefit society and contribute to making the world a better place in the future.
Miss Phakhanit Upajak, a recipient of the Outstanding Potential and Specialized Skills Scholarship since 2021, is currently a 5th-grade student at the Demonstration School of the University of Phayao, Phayao Province. She shared, “Receiving this scholarship has greatly eased my parents’ financial burden and opened up many new opportunities for me. I will make the most of this support, study as hard as I can, and one day, give back to my country.”
Mr. Thitiwut Nilkhong, a recipient of the Outstanding Vocational Potential Scholarship since 2023, is currently a second-year vocational student at Wiang Sa Industrial and Community Education College, Nan Province. He expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am truly thankful for this scholarship, which has given me a future and the opportunity to continue my education. It has opened doors to a broader world and new opportunities for me.”
Ms. Napath Sae Yang, a recipient of the Outstanding Potential or Specialized Skills Scholarship since 2021, is currently in her third year at the Panyapiwat Institute of Management, Nonthaburi Province. She shared, “This scholarship is very important to me. Without it, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to continue my university education. I am deeply grateful for the generosity, and it has inspired me to aim higher. It has allowed me to study what I truly want, and I now have a clearer vision of my future and goals.”
The Suphachai – Busadee Chearavanont Foundation continues its commitment to supporting Thai youth education and has outlined its plans for 2025, focusing on three key areas:
1. Enhancing Learning Potential – The foundation will organize training programs and activities tailored to the interests and strengths of students. These include leadership development camps, robotics camps, and competitions that promote specialized skills, allowing students to fully demonstrate their potential.
2. Developing Vocational Skills – The foundation will collaborate with experts to provide guidance in identifying students’ potential and strengths. It will also work with various organizations to offer internship opportunities in fields of interest, helping students gain real-world experience.
3. Expanding Worldviews and Inspiration – The foundation will support field trips to inspiring locations that broaden students’ perspectives, such as True Digital Park, TNN 16 news station, and CP Group’s agricultural robotics program. These experiences will expose students to cutting-edge technologies and innovations, empowering them to confidently step into the future.
