Mitihoon – Bangkok, March 24, 2025 – Bringing Dharma Closer to Everyday Life…Charoen Pokphand Group and True Corporation continue their commitment to True Little Monk, Thailand’s first dharma reality program, now in its 11th year. The program introduces 12 young boys selected from over 6,000 applicants nationwide, embarking on a journey to Dhaweedharma, the practice venue (Rai Saeng Ngam) in Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima. This year, the program is honored to have the Most Venerable Phra Brahmapundit, a member of the Supreme Sangha Council and Abbot of Wat Prayurawongsawat, as the preceptor and master abbot. Under the theme “Gratitude and Virtue”, the 12 novice monks will immerse themselves in Dharma teachings, guided by the Buddhist principle “Gratitude and Gratefulness, the foundation of a good person”, as bestowed by the Supreme Patriarch. The four-week learning process aims to instill wisdom and mindfulness, fostering moral and spiritual growth among the novice monks.
The press conference to launch True Little Monk Year 11 was presided over by Mr. Supachai Chearavanont, Chief Executive Officer, Charoen Pokphand Group/ Chair of the Board of Directors, True Corporation Plc, together with CP Group and True Corporation executives, along with Dr. Art-ong Jumsai Na Ayudhya and Dr. Worapat Phujaroen, the advisors of the program as well as artists, including Bob – Nattee Kosolpisit and Pancake – Khemanit Jamikorn Preemanon. This year, the program continues to emphasize the approach of “Dharma, Simplicity, and Nature,” allowing the young novices to learn through real-life experiences, self-discipline, personal discovery, and dedicated practice as an offering to the Buddha. The program features intensive Dharma activities, including meditative forest walks, solitary retreats in the wilderness, and spiritual training at Wat Tham Trairat in honor of Vesak Day. Additionally, weekly Dharma lectures will be held, with three novices each day taking turns to share insights on the theme “Gratitude and Virtue”. They will also reflect on their experiences during their ordination. Complementary activities are designed to deepen their understanding of Buddhist teachings in an engaging and enjoyable way.
The program will be broadcast live from April 20 to May 18, capturing the journey of the young novices as they study and practice Dharma, cultivating moral and ethical values in their hearts.
