Mitihoon  –  Mr. Manatchai Kongrakkawin, Executive Vice President-Business Development of Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC, the innovative power flagship of PTT Group, revealed that Mr.Worawat Pitayasiri, President and Chief Executive Officer of GPSC has signed a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Mr. Jackie Chang, Chief Operating Officer and President of Delta Electronics Thailand, and Mr. Curtis Ku, Country Manager of Delta Thailand of Delta Electronics Thailand , a global leader in power management and IoT-based smart green solutions. The main objective of this cooperation is to study the feasibility of renewable energy procurement or solutions of carbon emission reduction in order to focus mainly on the production of electricity based on renewable energy along with the provision of innovations for energy management pursuant to Direct Power Purchase Agreement (Direct PPA) and/or Third Party Access (TPA). Thereby, GPSC will make use of its innovations and solutions to supply renewable energy with the comprehensive energy management consistent with Delta’s policy to use 100% renewable energy (RE 100) with great determination to achieve the goal of greenhouse gas reduction by 2030.

The study plan shall emphasize all kinds of renewable energy, e.g., solar energy, wind energy, etc., and sustainable cooling system that are suitable and compatible with energy management technologies, such as energy storage system, along with the installation of a transmission system and the solutions for comprehensive energy and cost management. This will lead to the increase of efficiency in energy use and stability in the supply of electricity for manufacturing sector. Meanwhile, all of the aforementioned must comply with the export regulations in order to prevent environmental impacts from the production process. In addition, GPSC and Delta have an intention to develop the projects that help minimize greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions so as to head towards carbon reduction together.

“As a leading organization in energy innovations with growth of renewable energy and expertise in both technologies and service solutions, GPSC is ready to design and provide the integrated services that can well satisfy customers’ needs. These are two key strategies; S2 and S4 of “Scale-Up Green energy” and “Shift to Customer-Centric Solutions”, established in GPSC’s 4S Strategy, i.e., S1: Strengthen and Expand the Core, S2: Scale-Up Green Energy, S3: New S-curve, and S4: Shift to Customer-Centric Solutions. Also, the particular emphasis shall be placed on the development of renewable energy sources of various types in order to fulfill Delta’s demands for renewable energy,” said Mr. Manatchai.

Mr. Jackie Chang, Chief Operating Officer and President of Delta Electronics Thailand stated “Sustainability is central to Delta’s business, shaping how we innovate and grow. As climate challenges intensify, transitioning to clean energy is our responsibility. Our commitment to 100% renewable energy by 2030 and Net Zero by 2050 reflects our drive for meaningful action. Similarly to GPSC, we are honored to be recognized on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, highlighting our shared dedication to sustainability. Through this partnership, we will integrate clean energy, enhance energy storage, and expand e-mobility to build a greener future.”

Due to the climate change resulting from global warming and geopolitical factors that lead to the severe fluctuation of energy prices, as well as the strict international trade regulations on the production of environmentally friendly products, the industrial operators have to adjust their energy use by increasing the proportion of renewable energy or clean energy. Therefore, the manufacturers must adapt themselves by using the more environmentally friendly energy in order to maintain their competitiveness in the market. Currently, GPSC has been conducting research and development on the green energy innovations, which is in line with manufacturers who are seeking the innovations for power generation that are not only friendly to environment but also consistent with the new contexts that will arise in the future.

Building on this momentum, Delta Electronics, as a global corporate citizen and leader in power and thermal management, is dedicated to advancing practical solutions that make sustainable energy more accessible and efficient. Rather than simply following trends, Delta actively develops advanced power electronics that enable cleaner energy adoption, smarter storage, and intelligent management systems that meet real-world needs. Through its collaboration with GPSC, Delta is committed to meaningful action creating technologies that not only reduce environmental impact but also provide tangible benefits to industries and communities striving for a more sustainable future.
